Privacy Policy
Your story stays yours. It stays on your phone.
1What we keep
Lunelle keeps what you tell it on your phone, and only there. This includes your date of birth, the journey you chose, the dates you entered, your daily check-ins, health logs, reports and photos you add, medicines, appointments, notes, your conversations with Lunelle, and any settings you choose.
If you turn on Apple Health or Health Connect, Lunelle also reads the readings you allowed, such as steps or weight. It keeps them apart from what you typed, and never writes anything back to your health app.
2Why we keep it
We use your information only to support you: to show you where you are in your journey and to offer gentle, relevant help. Never to sell. Never to profile. Never to advertise.
3No account, no sign-up
There is no Lunelle account. You never give us a name, a phone number, an email or a password. Lunelle works fully from the moment you open it.
4Nothing leaves your phone
Lunelle does not send your information over the internet. It has no server that holds your record, no cloud copy, and no sync between devices. The health knowledge Lunelle uses comes inside the app. When Lunelle answers you, the answer is put together on your phone. We never see your information, so we cannot read it, share it or sell it.
Lunelle uses parts of your phone only when you use them: - Apple Health or Health Connect: read only, one kind of reading at a time, and only after you turn that reading on. - Camera and photos: only when you take or choose a picture, for example of a report or a medicine strip. The text is read on your phone. - Microphone: only when you tap to speak. Your words are turned into text by your phone itself. If your phone cannot do that offline, the microphone button does not appear. - Notifications: only for reminders you set. They are scheduled by your phone and nothing is sent to it from outside.
5Your control
You can change or remove any entry at any time. To remove everything at once, go to Me, then What Lunelle knows about me, then Delete everything. Deleting the app also removes everything Lunelle kept on your phone.
6Data on your phone
Your record is stored in Lunelle's own space on your phone and is locked with a key that stays on that phone. We have no access to it. If you lose your phone or delete the app and you have not made a backup, your data is gone. We cannot recover it, because we never had it.
Your phone's own backup does not include Lunelle's data. On Android, Lunelle opts out of the phone's automatic backup and of copying to a new phone. On iPhone, Lunelle marks its files so that iCloud Backup and computer backups leave them out, and the key that locks your record never leaves the phone. The only backup of your record is one you make yourself (see 7).
7Backups you make
Lunelle can make a backup file of your record. You choose a passphrase, and the file is locked with it on your phone before it is written. You decide where the file goes and how it travels, for example to your own computer or to a new phone using Move to a new phone. Lunelle never uploads it anywhere. Without your passphrase, no one can open the file, including us. There is no passphrase reset and no recovery. Photos are not included in the backup; the values read from reports are.
8Sharing
We do not share your information with anyone, for advertising or for any other reason, because we do not hold it. You can choose to share part of your record with a doctor. You pick what goes in, Lunelle makes a document on your phone, and you send it yourself using your phone's own share options. You are asked every time; your choice is never remembered for next time. Lunelle's own replies to you are never included. Adding an appointment to your calendar works the same way: Lunelle makes a file and you choose where it goes.
9Children's privacy
Lunelle is for adults. Everyone gives a date of birth before any health question. If the date shows you are under 18, Lunelle stops. It shows where to get care and the emergency numbers, and keeps nothing you entered. The only thing it keeps is a note that this phone was turned away, so that it does not start again. Your date of birth is not kept.
10Data transfers
Lunelle does not transfer your data anywhere, inside or outside your country. When you send a backup file or a document for your doctor, you choose the route, and that route is yours, not Lunelle's.
11Changes
If our privacy practices change, we will tell you clearly. If Lunelle ever needed to send anything off your phone, we would show you what changed and ask for your acceptance before it happened.
12Contact
Lunelle itself never contacts us. Before launch, this section will give an address you can write to with questions about your privacy.
What changed in this version: No accounts and no cloud. Nothing leaves your phone, and your phone's own backup (iCloud or Google) no longer includes Lunelle's data. Backups are passphrase-locked files you keep yourself, and sharing with a doctor is a document you send. Still a draft pending legal review.
